Cape Cod

Grant has 4 pretty awesome grandparents. He's also super lucky to have 2 really fun great grandparents who we get to see fairly often. His greats (Bernie and Gigi) go to Cape Cod for a week every March and this year we joined them for a weekend.

Cousin Jess came with us (good thing - I wouldn't have made it far in the car alone with him).  We stopped through Boston to pick up my mom and say hi to my dad since it just so happened he was there for a weekend conference. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the tragedy in Boston. It's all the more real that we leave so close. We were JUST there and then I returned to Watertown a few weeks ago for a conference. So surreal.

Time was too short...

Just a quick lunch...

And a short walk...

To one of my favorite spots in Boston.

Then we headed to the Cape for the weekend. We did a lot of this.

G had his first swing :)

And ride down the slide.

We did some sightseeing....

And walked on the beach...

IT WAS COLD!

A last goodbye to Doc and we were headed home.

Already?

9 months old? In just a few days he will be 10 months. How did that happen so quickly? I'll blink and he will be 16 asking for car keys.

Too. Dang. Cute.

A little ball of energy who hates getting his diaper changed, clothes on, and face wiped but he is SO MUCH FUN.

Florida...Finally

Now that the tan has long ago faded...I figure I'll post pics from our Florida trip :) It's not feeling much like spring here so all the more reason to re-visit the sunny warmth!

We stayed at an amazing resort that was perfect for Grant! Our unit had a fabulous porch right on the beach so we spent lots of time doing this.

Our view!

We were also a short walk away from the pool and spent just as much time there! Grant LOVED the water :)

John drove down to visit - thanks J!

Sweet baby love :)

When you travel with an 8 month old the concept of a vacation changes. However, we had a great time visiting with the grandparents and Matt and I ended up getting lots of time to relax. We did attempt to go out one night and tried for some family pics.  They came out well!

SUNSET!

The big excitement for the week for Grant was watching as the men cleared the seaweed out of the bay...

Our other big adventure was down to Key West...

If you go to Key West - make sure you visit Mallory Square! The shows at sunset are pretty entertaining :)

Big Boy!

Thanks to John and Cynde for an amazing vacation :)
