Hi there friends. I've been a bit behind in telling you about the wonderful shower that cousin, my friend Katie, and my mom planned for me and baby T! It was such a great day filled with so many sweet and thoughtful details. I am so thankful for my wonderful friends and family and all the love that is surrounding us!
OK - on to the pictures. The shower was held at my parent's camp. I'll see if you can guess the theme - it was so adorable! Here are a bunch of detail pics.
Did you guess giraffe yet? This guy was a gift to me on either my first birthday or Christmas...
A scrapbook for baby T. Everyone filled out a card of wishes for the baby...
Favors - cousin had a fun time with ETSY - this girl created these cute magnets for people to take.
Yummy food :) Katie is a good cook (I'm always up for dinner at her house) and these quiches were so good...
The cupcakes my mom made were delicious too!
My sister couldn't stand the thought of missing the shower so she flew all the way back to VT even though she was just up 2 weeks before and will be living here all summer! She's the best :)
She got a chance to practice her aunt baby holding skills on my friend Lindsay's baby Jackson - isn't he adorable?!
I hadn't seen my grandma since before I was pregnant!
We did a bunch of things at the shower besides eating...
Guess the number of peeps...A little nod to one of my favorite candies - I have been eating them ever since - I'm sure it's not the best treat for baby T!
My friend Adrien came the closest to the correct number (there were over 100)...She won a prize :)
Too bad she didn't take home the peeps. Then I wouldn't be sitting here eating them...
Onesie decorating!
Sometimes homemade decorated onesies don't turn out so well but all of these were pretty cute :) I didn't make one - the last time I tried it wasn't good...
My Philo partners :)
AND present opening...
A huge, amazingly generous pile of presents of all types.
I won't post a pic of me opening every present (although cousin did take a picture of each and every one...), but here are just a few!
My mom is so crafty - homemade burp cloths.
The quilt wall hanging I saw on Pinterest and subtly "suggested" that cousin make for the nursery.
Aunt Meg and the baby clothes...I can't imagine what she'll be like when she knows if it's a boy or girl.
Oh Mr. Boo. He wanted that cupcake so badly.
Maybe he'd be less tortured if he can't see it? Haha.
With the 2 planners :)
Family!
Thanks to my sweet VT friends and fam for being there. We were missing a couple in this pic...
Such fun! A big thank you to everyone again :) What a beautiful, special day!
xo!

John and Cynde Visit!
Matt's parents were here a little while ago. We had such a great visit with them! We did lots of relaxing, went out to eat, did a bit of hiking, etc. Cynde helped me with some nursery details while she was here too. This will be their last trip up before the baby arrives which is hard to believe!
The only pics I took were of the day we hiked so I'll share those...
My favorite view...
Look at that belly! Can you believe it's still making it to the top of Philo?
xo!

Nursery Planning #4
Sorry I've been so slow to post a nursery update! I have several excuses....
This is the first.
This is the second.
We had a new outlet installed in baby T's room because we can't plug in an AC unit upstairs safely anywhere there isn't a new electrical line. We needed to have a vent put in the bathroom anyway so I figured they could do it all at once. It was way more expensive than I thought and because of the way the beams are lined up in the wall we ended up with the 3 holes you see above. It took them several weeks and multiple phone calls from Matt (nagged by me...) to come fix those huge holes in my newly painted walls afterward :(
It took me FOREVER to decide on a rug. I picked one and it was backordered until sometime in June. I finally picked another one and it arrived with a rip in it. UG. I decided to send it back and luckily they had another one left in the warehouse to ship to me!
My other excuse is that I was waiting for the weekend cousin was headed to Boston (she kindly offered to pick up an IKEA bookshelf there for me - what would I do without her?) and for my mom to arrive and bring some things Cynde had made (roman shades, bedding) as well as to help me decorate in the nursery. SO the room has been looking pretty sad and progress has been majorly stalled until recently!
I'll share some pics...we put together the IKEA bookshelf when John and Cynde were in town. My mom brought up bunch of stuff last week and I had a fantastic shower this weekend where I received so many other things for the nursery! Mom and Meg helped me check lots of things off the list yesterday (the collage is up!) and today (my mom worked hard on the dresser while I was at work). These pics are from last week so they don't show any of the current progress but I'll share them so you can see something until I can get to posting more recent ones...
View from the hall as of Friday.
New rug, unfinished dresser and chair that needs to go downstairs...Our new chair is due to arrive this week! Yipee! Other things don't have a home yet but some have been hung already since this was taken :) I love the rug and am happy I decided to go with it. It's pretty neutral so should match for a few years toc come. The dresser has been partially sanded and my mom painted all the lighter colored parts white today - it looks so cute! I'll share more details on the dresser when it's done.
Crib! Put together and we put the bumper in there but haven't tied it on completely and I'm waiting on sheets/bed skirt.
A mix of new and some old favorites that belonged to me as a baby :)
Gifts for baby T from Lizzie, Aunt Meg and my mom (aka Bubbie)!
IKEA bookshelf...lots of changes happened here this weekend.
Gift from my sweet college friends - we can at least bring the baby home now!
AND baby won't have to go without a diaper :)
OK friends - that's it for now! I'll be back with more once I get to it!
