Baby Bump Weeks 19-21

I'm over halfway! Yipee! It feels like things moved SO SLOWLY and now I'm all of a sudden to this point. Good thing we still have lots of time to do more planning...we have a long way to go on nursery decisions!

I'm so excited that this week is school vacation - It feels so good not to hear the alarm ring at 5:30am :)

Ultrasound Pics

Hello friends! Hope you all had a great weekend - ours was fantastic so I was dreading Monday even more than usual! Maybe you're one of my lucky friends down south who had a snow day or the day off for President's Day. Not me - not this time :)

Sorry for my absence - I had a busy week and then spent the weekend recovering and headed out and about...I have lots to share but promised ultrasound pics first so here they are! I don't think ultrasound pics are all that easy to see but here are a few of the clear ones.

Here are 2 baby T feet :) You can see one whole foot and the heel of another.

Face and skull - all you can really see is the bony structure here.

Spine and neck - the head is pointed down in this pic.

This might be my favorite - Look up top and you can see the forearm and hand! Incredible :)

That's all for now! Be back soon hopefully :)

Happy Birthday John!

Happy Birthday to the best brother ever!!! I love you John!!

John spent the day in sunny Florida where he said it was 80 degrees while we were hiking to the top of Camel's Hump wearing snow boots - what a difference! Hope your day was wonderful!

Baby Bump Weeks 16-18

The belly is growing :) We had our 20 week ultrasound this week - I'll share pics soon. Baby T weighs 13 ounces and is moving more and more! Hopefully in a few weeks Matt will be able to feel it too....

Happy Birthday Willow!

I'm a few days late in wishing a Happy 3rd Birthday to my Will! We love our sweet noodle. It's hard to believe she is 3 years old! Look at this face - could you resist it?!

Nursery Planning

I started following baby blogs long before I was pregnant (I'm sure I'm not the only one...). I figured once I officially knew I would need a nursery I'd be way ahead on things and know exactly what I wanted. Yeah right. I should have known myself better than that!

Anyway - Pinterest has helped quite a bit and I've found some great inspiration nurseries that have helped in my decision making :) Here are a few (of many) examples.

Love this one - a new one from Apartment Therapy....

So serene. From Project Nursery.

So cute for a small space. I need to go a bit more gender neutral with not so much pink but love it still. From Ohdeedoh.

Simple, clean lines. From Ohdeedoh. I have considered buying this crib too....it's from WalMart - can you believe it?

Great one. From Ohdeedoh.

Some things I noticed when I was pinning...

- Most of the walls were gray (or another light color)
- All cribs were white and had simple clean lines
- Most had a fairly neutral rug
- Color was brought in through accents like fabric and art

I decided to paint the walls gray - picking a shade of gray will take another post. I'm still trying to make a final decision. I have also done hours of research on white cribs that aren't outrageously expensive...again another post!

Now I do realize the baby isn't going to appreciate this nursery and could care less what its room looks like. This is all for me (and Matt and other visitors who might appreciate it). I can't help but want it to look perfect...maybe that's a negative aspect to baby blog reading and Pinterest. At any rate - it's getting closer!

Florida Part III

Hello friends! Happy Wednesday - the week is already halfway over! It's time to share the rest of my Florida vacation photos - even though vacation feels so far away now as it's almost February!

We spent time in Naples doing lots of things besides going out on boats :) We spent one full day on the beach relaxing and it was wonderful.

Houses on the beach...

There were lots of boats in the Gulf but this one was by far the most beautiful one we spotted.

John rented a paddle board....

Starting out...

Looking like a pro...

Relaxing...

The fam didn't think the paddle board was the safest activity for a pregnant woman (considering I had already pushed my luck on this vacation) so I didn't give it a try. My dad did though!

Sibling love!

Meg was there too I promise - she just didn't want to join us for a pic :)

One day Matt and my dad rented some fancy bikes and took a long ride. Matt went 100 miles up to Captiva Island and back. I think it was the highlight of his trip.

On New Years Eve we went up to Captiva Island for dinner and to see the sunset. It was beautiful!

We tried a few poses before we settled on a good one for the family holiday card!

This was the winner :)

The restaurant was at a resort with lots of Florida Christmas cheer...

The food was delicious but we weren't too wild and crazy - it's only possible to stay up so late when you're 14 weeks pregnant...

That's all my pics! It was such an amazing trip - thanks again to my parents for taking us on such a great family vacation!

xoxo
